ROGER POLLOCKíS ìPROFIT PARTNERî PROGRAM LAUNCHES WEBSITE Roger Pollock developed the “Profit Partner” program to make a difference and actively contribute to charities that benefit children and those recovering from addiction issues as well as the communities in which he builds. Since its inception the program has selected charities that benefit from the growth of Pollock’s business. Each of the Profit Partners charities receives a monthly check from Buena Vista for each home sold. Current Profit Partners Include:
Early in August 2007, “Profit Partners” gave its one millionth dollar to charity, disposed to Oregon Partnership, one of the charities that has been in the program since the inception of the program. With the continual and generous support of Buena Vista, De Paul Treatment Center is able to help people like “James,” who is now sober, moved back in with his family, back in school, and has a positive outlook on life. “Without Buena Vista's program, this success story wouldn't be possible,” said Chris Bouneff, director of marketing and development at De Paul Treatment Center. Without local support from Roger Pollock's "Profit Partners" program, programs such as Transitional Youth would be unable to meet their goals of feeding, providing housing, and counseling people like "Samuel," one a teen on the streets who is now clean, has a job, and working towards his GED. "We’ve had 5 youth Graduate with their GEDs in the last 12 months, a dozen of our house residents are presently working full or part time and we’ve served approximately 3500 meals at our outreach center at 6th and SE Alder since the start of the year," said Gary Gorsuch, executive director at Transitional Youth. Roger Pollock has volunteered his time with these charities in addition to monetary donations. He has been an alcohol and drug abuse hotline volunteer for Oregon Partnership and has been a mentor at the St. Mary's Home for Boys. In 2005, Roger Pollock and Buena Vista Custom Homes were awarded the prestigious CASA Clackamas County Business of the Year award. Last year a recovery and integration center at Cascadia was named after Buena Vista Custom Homes. "We are excited to launch this site,” said Pollock. “The more awareness we can give these wonderful organizations, the more people we can help." Organizations interested in becoming Buena Vista “Profit Partners” can write a letter detailing while their organization would be a good match for “Profit Partners.” The program gives preference to non-profit organizations benefiting children and those with drug and addiction issues.
